Following Our Community on Twitter
Last week, TheLantern.com set up a Twitter account and started posting up our headlines. Following the lead of newspapers already on Twitter, I chose not to start following anyone on that account, though I never really gave that decision a whole lot of choice. Then, today, I read this article at The Exploding Newsroom and started kicking myself. I’m now combing through the search results for “OSU”, “Ohio State University” and the like for people to follow.
On one hand, it’s an obvious way to start building our network of followers - letting Buckeyes who already twitter know we’re here and interested in connecting with them. On the other, I find the idea raised on TEN that the feed we’ll get will be pretty interesting, though I’m not entirely sure what I expect to get out of . . . yet.
